Samy Markbaoui is a French-Lebanese partner in the Global International Arbitration practice of White & Case in Paris. He is a member of the Paris and Beirut bars and holds a master degree in international law, another in international arbitration, and a third in Arab comparative law. He represents corporations and States in contract-based and investment treaty arbitration under international law and a range of civil law systems. In addition to arbitration, Samy has extensive cross-border litigation experience, having handled complex disputes in jurisdictions such as France, Algeria, Lebanon, the UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. He lectures on evidence and other aspects of international arbitration at Sciences Po Paris, and is recognized as a Leading Lawyer by Décideurs and a Future Leader by Lexology.
