The General Secretariat plays a pivotal role in supporting the insurance dispute resolution ecosystem by enabling the committees to exercise their jurisdiction with independence and efficiency, providing the regulatory and procedural environment that ensures the continuity of their work, and contributing to the effectiveness of the resolution process and the integrity of the outcomes. In this context, the General Secretariat places a special emphasis on activating ADR mechanisms for insurance disputes. These are viewed as a complementary path to resolution, aimed at reducing litigation timeframes, minimizing disputes, and enabling parties to reach effective solutions that safeguard rights and ensure the stability of contractual relationships. Driven by its commitment to developing institutional performance and leveraging digital transformation, 2025 witnessed remarkable growth in workload. The number of filed cases exceeded 32,000, reflecting the trust in the insurance dispute resolution ecosystem. Additionally, the General Secretariat received more than 7,000 requests for settlement through alternative means, with total amounts exceeding 650 million riyals. This further confirms the effectiveness of these mechanisms and their role in supporting the ecosystem's efficiency and accelerating dispute resolution. The General Secretariat continues to fulfill its role in supporting the work of the committees and developing their procedures to keep pace with the insurance sector's requirements.
