Speakers Sercan Kocamanoglu

Sercan Kocamanoglu is a civil engineer with more than 18 years of experience. He has been appointed a delay expert several times and acted as lead assistant to the named expert on numerous occasions in a variety of high-profile engineering and construction disputes including attendance at multiple hearings. He has supported both delay and quantum experts in arbitration and adjudication proceedings for projects ranging from large scale power, oil and gas, airport and infrastructure projects to hospitality and residential projects (including high-rise and villa developments). 

 

Sercan started his career as main contractor and has hands-on experience in design, construction and project planning on a variety of complex projects across the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He was responsible for preparing, monitoring and controlling the baseline programme and delay and disruption claims. 

 

Sercan specialises in delay and disruption analysis, project planning and scheduling, programme management, and project management. He is familiar with critical path and delay analyses, disruption and acceleration. He is very interested in understanding the details to analyse the delay issues quickly and thoroughly.   

 

Sercan is recognised in Lexology Index as Future Leader in Arbitration Expert Witnesses category. He is a member of the Academy of Experts and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He holds a master’s in both construction project management and construction law and arbitration.
