Speakers Nagy Fawzy Mohamed El Ashmawy

With over 30 years of experience in industrial project management, Nagy El Ashmawy, has led multidisciplinary teams across the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. His expertise spans project development, engineering, construction and Handover, claims management and dispute resolution with a strong focus on water & Power infrastructure. He has played a pivotal role in BOO/BOOT/PPP projects from prequalification to financial close, managing both EPC and O&M phases.

 

Currently serving as Executive Director at Haji Abdullah Alirza & Co (HAACO), he oversees technical and commercial strategies for large-scale desalination and power projects. His previous leadership roles included directing complex water, wastewater and power plant developments across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Ecuador.

 

He holds an M.Sc. in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA), a Project Management Diploma from AUC (Egypt), and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. He is also trained in FIDIC contract management, ISO auditing, and desalination technologies, and is an ex PMP certified and ex-member of GCC Commercial Arbitration Center. He is known for mentoring multicultural teams and driving operational excellence in projects delivery.
