Mathias J. Iranzo Conde is Appian’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He is a senior legal professional with over 15 years of experience across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has advised on M&A, private equity, fundraising, investments, financings, regulatory matters, and litigation across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions.

He most recently served as General Counsel – Gulf & Asia at Investcorp, leading legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Prior roles include Legal Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Special Counsel for Cross-Border M&A at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

Mathias began his career at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and Hong Kong, focusing on private equity, M&A, and securities transactions.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School, a Master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris and an advanced degree in International Business Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
