Dr Can Eken is an Assistant Professor at Durham Law School and co director of the Durham international dispute resolution institute. Dr Eken is also acting as legal consultant and arbitrator. He is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, an attorney in California, and a lawyer in Türkiye, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has held visiting positions at leading institutions, including Stanford, Max Planck Institute, Singapore Management University, Sydney Law School, and the University of Oxford. His research focuses on international arbitration, investment law, third-party funding, and online dispute resolution, and he has published widely in these fields. Dr Eken holds a PhD in Law from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an LLM from LSE, and an LLB and LLM from Dokuz Eylul University.
